I spend from 0600 this AM to almost 1300, cooking, serving, and eating chicken for the annual FD Chicken-Q. 800 halves in total were grilled.
Guess what my wife cooked for supper?
Yep, chicken.
That really is grounds for divorce!

so how was supper ?
I have often wondered if folks that work at a fast food business actually EAT the food that is served at that place ? If you made burgers all day, would you actually EAT one that you had made for your own lunch ?
If you work at a place that sells biscuits for breakfast, do you actually eat one during the mid-morning break ?
same with pizza ...steak .... bar b q ...

I worked at Pizza hut for a time and that put me off pizza for a long time.
Supper was ok, I fixed myself a peanutbutter and grape jelly sammich, grabbed a can of the lime flavored diep pepsi and whipped up a small salad with some ranch dressing. Quite tasty.
I'm guessing that I'll be eating chicken leftovers at the fire station tomorrow night at some point during the EVOP training.

You have my fullest condolences. I found a book about raising teenagers that says teens and adults are responsible for their own emotions. Since I take it you and her both know what's causing her anger, it can not be used as an excuse anymore and must be dealt with in an adult and reasonable manner. While there should be a balance between logic and emotion, logic should tell you when hormones are affecting mental balance and brain chemistry. People who do not learn to ask themselves questions often let their hormones run their lives.
If anyone has a problem with my opnion, you can talk all you want but it won't change the facts that some people do not want to control their anger or depression because they do not want to realize or admit that they are a slave to their hormones and emotions. Always ask yourself "WHY?". If you can not find the answer yourself then seek professional help whether it be counciling or a medical doctor.

I've been with my YL for going on 11 years. Trying to teach her daughter, a 16 year old teenage girl that, "You ain't the center of the Universe" and "Using PMS as an excuse to behave inappropriately is unacceptable" and "Just because you feel angry doesn't make it MY problem. It's YOUR problem and YOU have to modify your behavior accordingly" and "The world doesn't owe you a thing".
# I'm sure my attitude does not bode well with some people but I'm not going to walk on eggshells because a young person refuses to control his or herself. Yep. What? Yes I am a hardass. Learn to deal with it or you can end up like your friend who is a runaway and is dealing with pregnancy #4 at age 16.

Years ago, when we weren't married very long, I decided to have a few beers with the boys one Friday evening after work. #I called the (then) YL and told her I would be a little late coming home that evening. #I got the usual "have a good time and be careful" - you married guys know that speech. #
Suddenly, after enjoying my self for awhile I realized that I had remained with my buddies long after the hour I had promised my young bride that I would be home. #
Thinking up what I thought was a good excuse I called home and when she picked up the phone I said, "Don't pay the ransom Honey, I've escaped."
I thought it was hilarious
My buds thought it was hilarious

Try wrapping tin foil around the fuses. #Also, If you use the 20s in parrellel it distributes the load evenly. #Never wire in tandem.
