Anybody who thinks that other guy, what's his name, would have done a better job, needs serious mental help. And I'm NOT kidding when I say that.
I voted for GWB

I was once told by another ham years ago, when I posted on rec.radiuo.amater.policy, not to apologize for my errors even when I wanted to admit them. I'm sorry that I can't follow his advice.

Did you guys forget that when the French did not want to join the U.S. in the war against Iraq, GWB called them cowards. You can't win support from anyone after that, without at least apologizing.

- but who cares, they're French!

(the new bad guys in spy novels since the Cold War is over)

:-)

p.s. the French are also the ones who blew up a Greenpeace ship, the Rainbow Warrior - horrors!

Years ago the French created the French Foreign Legion. This was a group of fighters who fought against bad Arabs in north Africa and the middle east. Some of the Foreign Legionaires were criminals. The French goventment did not officially take the blame for whatever the Foreign Legion did.
Now I, for one, liked the French Foreign Legion. They gave plots to movie comedies that starred Laurel and Hardy as well as Abott and Costello. Mickey Mouse even joined them in Walt Disney Comics. We should apoligize for making the FFL a source of oxymoronic humor.
Viva la Legionaires!

Just as after the Superbowl you will find vendors selling "World Champion" t-shirts with the losing team stamped on them at half price this is the tag from a shirt that had been made assuming a Kerry victory and was sold off to the French at half price when he lost.

I apolize for all the times, when I see a car with a Kerry bumper sticker, I roll down the window and shout, "Kerry LOST!" to the driver.

Loved the Boondocks cartoon. Wasn't that the same cartoon that said, "No wonder everybody hates us" while the twin towers were still smoldering? I do believe it was! And I also happen to recall the cartoonist using his "comic" strip to ridicule Americans who expressed their grief over the terrorist attacks by wearing ribbons or flags. The cartoonist, McGruder, is a turd. And his comic strip is garbage.

I see lots of liberal-minded political cartoons, and respect the right of the cartoonist to express his views through this medium. And I think some of the strips are clever, even though I disagree with the message. But McGruder has a vile bitterness toward the USA, demonstrated over and over again, that I can't tolerate.

Interesting to note that even the HEAVILY left-leaning Baltimore Sunpapers removed "Boondorks" from the comic pages and put it in the editorial section.

But thanks for expressing your views. Next time, I hope you can find a more sensible medium through which to express them.

Good day to YOU, sir. I *said* GOOD DAY!
Good day.

Hmmm... I don't agree with anybody 100% of the time, just ask my ex-wives. Still, this strip just about says it all. Heck Steve, ya missed your calling - Pope of the Comix.

If you think you hate Boondocks, I got a couple that'll have you foaming at the mouth.

Heh... Too late, John.... I think I've seen them! Some of the worst were shortly after the 9/11/01 attacks, and the theme was, in so many words, "we're jerks, and we had this coming to us." While it's McGruder's right to suggest that the actions of the USA may have contributed to the anger of our enemies, his TIMING was godawful.

It's ironic that McGruder shows as much contempt as he does for the ONLY government and society in the world that would not only LET him express the kind of views he holds, but also allow him the opportunity to make a nice living expressing them! Mind blowing....

Much of Boondorks isn't even original -- He often copies the Doonesbury schtick of having a character sit silently in front of a TV, while some political statement eminates from the Glowing Box.

The one I was thinking of wasn't Boondocks. This ones a bit worse in a different way... got this beat by a country mile Steve. I would post it but I'm afraid of being Baninated. Maybe a PM http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
