The comment deadline for the NPRM to remove Morse testing is now October 31, 2005. Deadline for reply comments is November 14, 2005. That will end the process.
After that, the FCC will release a Report and Order, and set an effective date for the final removal of Morse testing.
Most likely the R&O will be released the end of December, and will be effective April 15, 2006. That, though, is just my speculation.
