Problems with McAfee Virusscan?

This is apparently a bug in Version 10, the latest update. No-one at McAfee seems to have a clue.

Here is a temporary fix that I have come up with, that works at least for me. Hopefully McAfee will issue a patch soon, because it's still a PITA.

I was a McAfee user, too. Notice the past tense. I ash-canned them for AVG Free. I have NO complaints about AVG!!

I use version 8 with updates. No problem. They tried to get me to update but no dice.
