This is an antique ships compass from the late 1800's.
Can be found in Peabody's Museum collection Collection of Nautical Instruments 1963. Is listed in the John Bliss
& Sons cataloge of 1904 at said museum. Is on it's original gimbles and needs to be cleaned and polished.
Otherwise in very good condition and works great. I don't know enough @ it to refurbish or mess with it. Make me a reasonable serious offer. Sotheby's of New York says they cannot give a value as there are none that are not on the bottom of the ocean. In otherwords,RARE. contact yor344@aol.com or call me
