This is an oil painting of a registered Pekingese female dog that was borne on Nov15th,1986,her color is a multicolor including red, black, and blonde. We got her when she w3as 6 wks old, and got her registered certificate from American Kennel Club Mar 30th, 1988, sometime shortly we had this Oil painting artist after seeing a lot of his wildlife work do a painting of her, her name is Gidget, and since this breed of dogs were once almost distenth ,for a long time because they were carried around on silk pillows by their Chineese masters almost as a worshiper, then were sacrifficed and buried with their master so i decided to have her painted on a silk pillow, and looking at the painting of her attached painting you will see in her eyes what i mean, you don't own one of these dogs, they own you and are verry intelegent about doing so, she knew her play toys by NAME, about 10 or 12 different toys and could pick any one out of piled toys by the name we gave it.She lived until 1998 had a heart attact. but the big thing, this oil painting artist,Glenn Robertson, that;s pretty well kown for his African wild life pictures passed away about 2 or 3 vyrs ago, I don't know for sure where his Studio and Museaum was moved to or if it was, but was at Lake Malone Inn,at Lake MaloneKy about 3 miles from his home in Dunmore Ky. But lake Malone was destroyed by fire about 3 months ago, and is questinable whether his art work had been removed at the time of the fire, the fire can be affirmed by the Dunmore fire dept, beechmont Fire dept, and several otherts, so it could be i have one of a few origional paintings left, there was a lot of prints sold from his other origional wild life and animals, but this one had no prints done, i also have the origional American Kennel club Registration Certificate in file with her picture, My wife passed away this last june 27th 2005, look these items over and let me have an idea what they are worth, the frame around the canvas is 22" high by 26" wide which was made by me at Proctor's Woodcraft at Beechmont which i made custom furniture, cabinets and restored and repaired antiques.I was thinking i could find out something on here, so pass this along to others and let's keep this place active on the miss and other vitems becide radio equipment My phone # is 270-476-9845, and you can call any time from 9AM to 12;30pm or e-mail me as i have unlimited long distance ph service, thanks for looking and let me know what you think, 73, Gene/N4AEPjavascript:emoticon('http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif')
