Similar to what they had for awhile when you googled "French Military Victories".

You got "No results found".

Google was a big contributor to the Kerry ticket, would figure that more than one employee has a left leaning sense of humor.

That and the fact that Google is based in California.

Nuff said. #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

That would be the easy answer. The correct one is Google Indexing Technology (http://www.google.com/technology/pigeonrank.html)

Nearly identical results on MSN. Bush shows up third or fourth on Yahoo search.

All three rank the responses to your request by previous queries, so that could mean that people are using search engines to look for 'Bush+failure+...'. Or it could be a giant leftist conspiracy too.

You guys are assuming left, but the next entry is "Welcome to MichaelMoore.com!" with no apparent actual "hit".

This does not really come as a surprise,my world was mostly RF Analog, using hand calculators and the slide rule. When I made the transition to computers of course I had a greater interface with the digital people. This all took place in "Sillycon Valley".

I was quite surprised to find the so called computer people,or the digital crowd was embedded way over to the far left. Many came right out with pride saying they prefered the Socialist adjenda. Being a staunch Republican I could not believe there were intelligent educated people who leaned so far to the left. A very large percentage of Computer oriented companys are Democrats, and as the modern Liberal Democrat leans way to the left.

It has been common knowledge that the Socialist Party has infiltrated our educational system in Kalifornia,Labor Unions are dominate for #all public employees. Karl Marx was once quoted as saying if you get to their little minds when they are young and impressionable, when they mature politically they will support you.

Part of the fight going on now in Kalifornia,GOV. Arnold is taking the unions to task, and they are not about to give up the golden goose they have enjoyed for so long. very easily. #

Much like they did to GWB, they Party is running bad mouth commercials on TV,the average viewer is exposed to 4 to 6 times an evening to these lies.

I guess the belief is you are not really a loser until you give up,and even though the people spoke out against them they are not giving up. # # http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Maybe the "computer people" in Cali, Orv. I've been in the computer biz for 28 years in Colorado and if anything, these people lean to the right. Pro-gun and pro-God for the most part.

To be sure, this has changed over the years and it's not as "right" as it once was. But it's still right of center, even today.

Small sample, of course, and we aren't treated to the same liberal education they have in California. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

"How DARE you classify an ENTIRE group of people in that way?" -- paraphrasing a few recent posts here from CA.

Rob, this is really disturbing, but Orv is right!

I don't mean "Orv is right (politically)", because you already know that, nor do I mean "Orv is right (correct)", because that would be totally beyond disturbing. What I mean is that 50% of Californians are below average.

With 35.4 million people, (http://www.npg.org/states/ca.htm) that means that that California has 17.7 million below average dummies taking up space, voting, banning guns, whining about the price of gas, and crowding into national parks where you still can't get away from them all.

In fact, a new dumdum is born every two minutes in California! Do you see why The BIG ONE is not such a bad idea?

KFØRT,
Rob, I thought I specified the" SILLYCON VALLEY" the so called birthplace of the U chip, that is the only experience I have had. I spent 50 years in San Jose, what could be called the heart of the computer industry. Of course you can expand that now to the greater San Francisco Bay area, but the so called birth place the "Sillycon Valley"began in the area of Stanford University,Santa Clara University, and the University of California at Berkely. These were the major contributers that supplied the brains that made the whole thing happen.
Before the big Silicon Valley Boon San Jose was a nice little town of a few hundred thousand people,I remember back during the late 40's it seemed to be the ideal place to be and most of the political flavor was of a conservative nature. One would think with the exception of the earthquakes it was the ideal place to raise a family, although the educational system even at that time was a couple of years behind most of the rest of the country.

I moved to S.J. during the school testing period of 46,and the testing they were given was on subjects I had studied a couple of years before in the state of Washington. So already in 46 they were lagging in education. I think it was that tone that set up the stage for the Socialist's to move right in. Everyone wanted change, and they supplied that.

The War WWll,was just over and the GI bill for education was the big thing, and it all lend it self as prime real estate for the take over.

Thoses in Colorado were native or an occasional easterner who moved west, you had not yet experienced the overflow from California.
That may account for the mostly Conservative nature you speak of. As the Socialist's dug into CA. many who would not tolerate them moved on to Colorado,Idaho,Montana, and even a few to Arizona.

I am not an historian,my knowledge is only that which I lived only ,but I can speculate for what the old timers who were here told me.
The leftist nature of the Sillycon Valley though is well known, just look how many times Bill Clinton visited the SF bay Area drumming up funds for the Democratic Party, obviously his support was not from the Conservative side, although some of his programs were, ask N. Gingrich about Clintons programs.
