For Sale: I have 7 Motorola MT500 2 channel UHF HTs. They all do work. Includes chargers, lotsa extra batteries (all are working very good!), extra antennas. I know that they key-up on 458.475 and receive on 453.4750 and then there is 453.925 simplex (looked inside the radio). Includes the PL boards installed. Some have 100.0Hz PLs while others have 131.8Hz and 179.9Hz.
I have heard that these radios have around 5 miles simplex range (maybe further), and have about 25-35 miles range on repeaters, again maybe further.
These radios would be great to re-crystalize on 440 MHz and used for 446.000 or your favorite UHF repeater in your area.
Who knows, there might be a Red Cross service out there that is licensed to use these frequencies, or maybe a small business.
This is a big heavy box cost is $65.00 + $22.50 to ship them out. Not to bad of a deal for all the radios and other stuff you are getting. I also have speaker mics for these radios too.
Again, these all power up and are all working. I even have my own MT500 that is crystalled on 440, so I was able to take each one and test them out on the 440 MHz band, but remember I don't have any spare crystals for 440.
Thanks for looking at my ad!
