Hi all my name is Shawn and Im in Ontario Canada, I recently sent my receiver(Alinco DJ-X2000T) to a fellow(a ham) in the USA as a trade for his scanner(BC796d)on july 12th , He has received his on July 18th,I know this because I tracked it,to this day (July 23rd)I have not received any information or tracking number on the scanner he was suposed to send me,I have been emailing him everyday and still no answer, Should I wait a little longer or should I kiss my receiver goodbye?I would hate to loose a good radio like this, its been 3 weeks now and still nothing,I checked his call sign here on QRZ and the address he gave me matched, what can I do, any suggestions? thanks

The first thing I would do, if he is not responding to your emails, is to phone him. Call directory assistance for his city and get his number... give him a call and ask him what's going on. Perhaps he's just busy lately.

If he has a listed phone, there are many free web look-ups to find it. If you want to send me his name/address I will try to find it for you. Tom send to tlamb@mesa.net

One thing I do is do a google search on his call sign.
find the clubs or other groups he assoiates with.
E-mail the club and ask if they know them,
then ask if they would inqure about you.
Most times peer presure, simply by someone asking "whats up with"
can do alot. A repeater group, or club can do wonders.
Also you can do a search for phone numbers of their last name,
maybe find a relitive, ( like their mother ) ...
That works really good.

good luck.
