I'm Kim, Chris' wife. Chris wanted me to let everyone know that he is in the hospital yet again. They are running some new tests and hopefully he will be home soon.

Ok Chris, here's the secret to a speedy recovery:
Ogle the nurses and don't eat the food... http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Hi Kim and all,
My heart goes out to Chris, 6 months ago I landed in the hospital and it's not the place to be, pretty nurses and halfway decent food not withstanding. I wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing his posts here once again. Please pass this and the other messages on so he knows we're thinking of him. MNY TNX

Hi Y'all. It's me. I got out of the hospital this afternoon.
Since I originally got sick in January, I've been having blackouts. In fact, I've had a lot of different problems since January, but this one is of course debilitating. The tests were all negative, so I'm back to square one. I guess this is going to be another of those "well, you're diabetic, these things happen" issues. So be it.
Of course this confirms early decisions that I would not be able to return to work, and now driving is also apparently a thing of the past. Now I don't want anyone to think I mind not driving, but my pickup truck is my hamshack. What will I do now to get on the air? My commute to and from work was the ham radio time. Hmmmm . . .
I appreciate all the wishes here, on the SPAR site and in the emails. You guys are great.

Glad to hear you're back with us, Chris.
Let's see, what to do about that "hamshack" issue:
1. Find somebody to sue over your condition. It must be somebody's fault. Find them.
2. Collect, use money to buy new home with no antenna restrictions.
3. Install antennas, operate from home, have fun.
4. That will make you feel so much better you'll be completely cured, and can go back to work.
Wasn't that simple? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
