Wonder how long before it will be deployed in this country as the next generation Taser.

Ah, but not to worry! I just remembered. This thing would violate the FCC's RF radiation standards!!! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

- well, if the device is aimed at and used on rioters, who cares about adverse effects?

- story reminds me of the Honorable Mayor Frank Rizzo when he was a police commissioner during the '67 riots... unlike other large cities, Philadelphia had no major problems with rioting... this was due in large part to the newspapers and radio publishing the commissioner's policy: "All Looters Will Be Shot On Sight"

- i also understand that there really isn't a problem with looting in Florida following hurricanes for the same reason...

But who are the rioters? #What if mayhem breaks out and you are just kinda in the middle of it, maybe an elderly person that got pushed/trampled down and couldn't get up?

There DOES need to be some responsibilty with this thing.

On the other hand, imagine a large Field Day setup..

"Say, anyone have a large microwave for these 150 hotdogs"

Several years ago the Japanese built something similar to get rid of cockroaches.

It didn’t work out.

Live cockroaches have been found inside high power waveguides here in New Mexico, and found inside neuclear reactors in other places.

Some scientists consider them a highly evolved species.

Just another reason that we should be in there.
We don't need to test that stuff here.
