Scientists are claiming to have discovered a second brain - in the human stomach.

The breakthrough, involving experts in the US and Germany, is believed to play a major part in the way people behave.

I knew it was there all of the time.

Have also read that some of the Dino's were so long that it would take too long for nerve signals to travel the length of their body, so they DID have two brains, one in each end someplace. Or so I read in the TIMES.

Maybe their study subject just has his head burried far enough up his a** to give the appearance of there being a brain in the stomach. If this is the case then it was probably discovered during a politician's physical. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Just great. Now people with pot bellies will say it's large because they have a bigger brain.

Nope it wasn't in April. I think one day it will also be proven that there is a 3rd brain in your nose. It should give a whole new meaning to the phrase "let me pick your brain." http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

A second brain in the stomach makes sense...
I always had a gut feeling that my stomach had thought about what it should ask me to eat.
Yep I had a gut hunch about that...
BUT
What I can't stand is saying that the heart can think and love and hate and know anything...Like when they say "He has a good loving heart"...or "You know it in your heart he is right"...or "She is a sweetheart." # Our hearts don't come in flavors and our hearts can't think or love or hate anything or anybody. #Our hearts have a big enough job pumping blood. #The heart is made up of muscles which form a blood pump. #The heart is quite a mechanical device. #It has valves just like any mechanical pump. #I have undergone open heart quintuple heart bypass surgery.
I don't think it affected my ability to think one way or the other.

Disgusting events can turn my stomach but don't give me a heart attack.

Next Valentines day send your loved ones, especially any who cooks for you, a chocolate small intestine...because a heart is just a pump but a stomach can love well seasoned pizza and think about good cooks and love them as well.

The way to a man's heart used to be through to be via his stomach.. #Now you know that if you can get to a brainy stomach, why relay a love message to a stupid pump?

kf6rdn #says I don't have a heart.

I must have a heart because I'm still alive. #A lot of money was paid for my by-pass surgery. Was it paid for nothing? #Should I sue?

Now if you say I don't have a heart...Will you take me to the Emerald City to see the wonderful wizard of Oz to get me one? # Opps...Watch out for the flying monkeys and the wickard warlock of the Far East.

Yeah, this sounds like a "headline" one might find in that most illustrious of "news" magazines, The National Enquirer.

Inquiring minds want to know... nothing.

And to think that there are sheeple out there who believe everything the Enquirer prints!

I am bothered by the fact that this very important topic is not getting a bigger response. #Some far less important posts have gotten ahead of this startling scientific information.

I think that this thread is not getting many people to read it because the title is too tame.
It should have been called...
SCIENTIFIC PROOF OF BELLY BRAINS.

Hmmm...
Is a belly dancer a brain twister?

Peristalsis may no longer be just a reflex, if the intestinal contractions are locally planned and not just jerked from a head.

Is obesity caused by belly brains of low IQ?
There are now all sorts of books and schools to help people lose weight. #There are low fat and low carb diets...There are exercises to burn calories. #Maybe someone could start a new business writing books and planning courses to teach bad belly brains better bread and butter behavior.

If anyone here can get me on Oprah Winfrey's and Larry King's #programs, I'll write an educational manual for instructing any oportunity limited (retarded) belly brains.

Didn't one of those Night Of The Living Dead movies show zombies eating people's brains? Next out, a remake of Mr. Deeds Goes To Washington (from Pittsburgh PA if you remember George Romero's original movie).
