I was thinking today, why dosen't Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, or Honda make an enduro ATV? If a little dirt bike can be street legal, why not put blinkers and better lights on a 4 wheeler and some different tires and make it street legal?

They already tried it with "pocket bikes" which basically are mini-versions of real bikes. Didn't take them long to get banned here in CA because of illicit and crazy use.

They could probably come out with it, but then I could see someone abusing it and it also being banned, but who knows.

An odd idea, yes, but you never know. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Federal vehicle safety laws.
No ATV could stand a chance.

Buy a real motorcycle if you need street transportation.

With all the incompitent drivers on the road then add the motorcycles weaving in and out of traffic, you now have to watch in front of your vehicle and behind your vehicle, that's bad enough but to have to start looking under the vehicle for an ATV is pushing it too far!! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I suppose. Was just an idea I had. In more rural areas like this it would probably work better, since there is not an extreme amount of traffic around here. People already go flying down the road on ATV's where they can't drive in ditches at probably 35-45 MPH. Seems dangerous to me, since at any second you could lose control and roll the thing a lot of times.

Does anything take long to be banned in California?

Thank You Orv.

Welcome to Kalifornia. If one were to do a bit of research one would find out that 'drivers training' is non-existent in Kalifornia. It's not hard, Just go to sacbee.com and look it up. There is an entire expose on it.

As a career professional firefighter in Kalifornia, I can tell you, I have seen more dead kids in traffic accidents in the last 5 years than I have seen since 1979 when I started this biz.

Frankly speaking, I'm sick of it, I'm burned out on it. A 'drivers certificate' can be had in California for 5 bux and nothing more.

I can go on and on and on. But I don't think anyone really wants to know what I do at 3 AM. Hollywierd makes like "The Fast and The Furious" and then yet because of 'school budget' problems all driver's training is eliminated. Cut. School dristricts can't afford it! ZIP! NADDA! Send in in five bux and yes! You too can have a drivers training certificate! Oh HEY! No training required!

3 weeks later I get rolled out of bed to scoop your sorry ass off the pavement. YES, BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!

While were at it, all illegal aliens get one too.... Nothing more required. What the heck, the State will pay for it. Yea, sure it all pays the same. I'll scoop your sorry ass up too.
