At long last the Downing Street Memos are making it through the mainstream news media. Our local newspaper carried an article about it two days ago, on the last page of the news section. Yesterday, an editorial about it appeared in a syndicated column. Today, it was covered on a front page news article.

It took a whole month for it to hit the news in this country. In Britain it made banner headlines about the second day after the first "smoking gun" memo was leaked.

Orthodox Jews who follow the Old Testament faithfully cound not accept the state of Israel from its scriptures. This is because it is said to prophesize that the Jews can only have a homeland when a Mesiah comes to them. Unlike the Christians they are still waiting.

I am not a Christian but I believe that fundamentalist Christians believe that all the Jews will be killed when there is a second coming of the Messiah except for those who wil accept Christianity.
