Apolize to Israel & the Jews

The Jews were among the slaves to make the Pyramids, according to Egyptian, Sumerian, Greek, Roman, Israeli and Syrian texts. I think Apolizes are long overdue. In fact, the first recorded texts that describe slavery involve the Egyptian use of slaves.

Sumer, Akkadia, Assyria, Babylonia ... all considerably older cultures who engaged in slavery. You don't actually believe that Egypt invented slavery simply to put Hebrews to work, do you? That's light headed. Egypt was a nation involved in wide area conquest and brought home captives to perform heavy labor.

Perhaps more to the point is the White Slavery trade that currently flourishes in Tel Aviv and other locations. Slavic girls and very young women from Ukraine are lured to Israel supposedly for secretarial work. On arrival their passports are destroyed and they find themselves working in a brothel. Yes, this has been covered even on CNN, so it's not some bizarre fantasy I've made up on the spur of the moment.

As a matter of fact there is currently only one nation on earth where slavery is lawful. That is Israel. It has been banned everywhere else. In Israel, any Israeli may own slaves, so long as they are not fellow Israelis.

No, the Egyptians didn't invent slavery - it's been around since mankind has. Mind you, sons shouldn't be punished for the sins of the fathers in any event... doesn't seem to stop some people though does it?

At any rate the time frame involved in the pyramid building does not mesh with any Biblical account of the time of Moses. Blacks say that if the nose of the sphinx was not purposely broken, the face of the sphinx would be recognizable as a Black face.

There are no slaves in modern day Israel, if we go by the basic definition of slavery...however most people in the U.S., as in Israel, can be slaving for money, if not the wife and kids.

On another thread, a ham with British call letters, said that the British had to take African slaves in trade for their goods because that is all that other Africans had to offer. IMHO this can not make the British innocent of the slave trade anymore than a "John" is innocent because a pimp offers a prostitute in trade.

I would not go so far as to say that Israelis keep slaves...but I do agree that modern Israel is a Theocracy...not a democracy, because non-Jews do not have all of the rights that Jews have in Israel. In fact non religious Jews can not get some of the benefits that Orthodox Jews enjoy there.

Yep the Jews wandered in the desert for 40 years bacause it took them that long to attack the people of Cannan. There were no U.N. inspectors in those days, so it took them a long time for their spys to be sure that the Cannanites didn't have any weapons of mass distruction.. and for Moses to get an OK from the Burning Bush.

I read a book called "Who wrote the Bible?". It said that Moses died after wandering for 40 years and getting ten commandments. Two groups of Jews fomed and attacked what each believed was their promised land, making two nations. One nation was ruled by Moses' brother, the other was ruled by Jews not so directly related to Moses. Each group said that God loved them better and only promised the land they had to them and the members of the other group were all imposters. Thus there evolved at that time two somewhat different versions of the Bible, with different opinions about Moses.
The group that was led by Moses' brother actually knew more bad stories about Moses than the non-related group. Now if these two groups could not agree about their real estate and the intentions of their founding fathers about 5000 years ago..how can we expect any Jews to agree with what part of the middle east was promised to them today?

True, the Bible isn't exactly historically accurate, dates do not match up. A lot of what has been written has been scientifically proven (ie.: Sodom & Gemmorah were found to have been destroyed, by the geology of the Dead Sea). This still doesn't discount other civilizations accounts of slave labour in Egypt. I am quite certain that the Egyptians had no qualms about using anybody to be slaves to build their "public works" and that the Jews were not the only slaves they had. The latest accounts now are that the Sphinx was built prior to the Egyptian civilization and that the face (which is not to scale with the rest of the statue) had been re-carved by a pharoah. This act in itself, would be the most monumental act of ego, desecration and grafitti in human history IMHO. The story is that Napoleon shot off the nose. I don't know his reasons (I'm certain he had them, good or bad), but in itself, I often feel that judging one generation by the deeds it's civilization has done in the past is rampant ignorance. Something I've alluded to earlier in this thread. Napoleon also invented modern archeology and "Spin". The "Spin" was what he used to embellish his lack of success in the middle east.
