View Full Version : ripoff database
how about adding a ripoff database on this site, so instead of digging
into past posts simply enter a name or callsign and find out what type
of dude that were dealing with. When a ham screws another ham it
makes you wonder what this is all coming to.

Now I will admit I am a fairly new ham licensed in 1996
and I took the NO-CODE tech. I am currently in progress of upgrading to my general. I like the idea of the code and am real interested in learning it. I bought a test book recently for Technician to try and get my wife and stepson into the hobby. I could'nt believe how easy they have made it now for anyone to obtain a license. I thought it was easy before having to pass a 65 written exam with element 2 and 3a. Without a code proficiency test but it's only 35 questions now total and one element. Also I was amazed they dropped the 13wpm and 20wpm code tests totally. It looks like all the CB'ers are getting into amateur radio now. I think they ought to have a test to elimanate ignorant people from becoming licensed. Just my 2 cents.
