Bob Thomson (K4VLC) of Orlando has passed away this week from a late stage brain tumor.

He was popular in the HF bands and was the first person to introduce me to ham radio back in the early 90's.
He served in the US Army as a radio operator for a number of years. I believe he worked for Martin Marietta for a while as well.
