Need to get 2 more states for WAS on the Geratol Net. #NEED IOWA and ALASKA. #You have to be an extra class with an extra class formatted call (1x2, 2x1, 2x2 beginning with A ) and we have to work on the US extra 75 meter band 3.753 - 3.775 Mhz. #Time and date does not matter. #Anyone that can help, please send me an email at k3sam@yahoo.com or k3sam@arrl.net. #Thanks in advance, Sam - K3SAM #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

You don't have to "have" an extra class formatted call sign to "get" the Geratol award, however you have to work one station in each state that does have an extra class formatted call and QSL with them. That's not my rules, the clubs rules. The newest member has a 1x3 call and some have 2x3 calls. They can't be worked for the "basic" award, however they are good for other awards.

They have "initial" awards, such as if Al Blank's call was k1ab, he would have his initials. Primary state award would be if I was k3pa and lived in Pa. Secondary would be k2pa in NY.

Use your search engine and lookup Geratol. All contacts have to be in the extra portion of the 75 meter band and they do not have to be during net times.

Nice net, nice people. 73, Sam

Go to 14.292.00 USB at about 1600Z, listen and give a call out for Alaska. 14292 is the calling frequency for AK. and the Alaska-Pacific Net, make a contact and schedule for your WAS.
