Hi All,

Here is my message to a German Ham club:

The club's name has been replaced by ****

Quote[/b] ]Dear **** Committee,

This is my second message (first was last week). This is also the second time I receive a pack of QSL cards from you w/o postage IRC (and possibly self addressed envelop).
If you read my QSL infos on QRZ.com (the only ones that I keyed in), you will see it is QSL DIRECT only and with IRC.

Last year, I had to contact as many as possible of the QSLers to explain them the problem, and one individual helped solving the problem, but not ****.

QSL cards are really a pain and time consuming for me. I really do it as a service, and many time hesitated not QSLing anymore. You contribute to that feeling.

So, now, I have these options:

+ drop the QSL cards w/o replying
+ search each email address again of each QSLer, send them a copy of this message and await their reaction.
+ I am an idiot and I send back my own QSLs via you.

Please, help me which option to choose, or if you have any other idea....

Do not think I need money to support my life that is already too comfortable. I just ask basic respect.

I just hope some Germans who had a qso with me will have a look here and understand.... If you know another forum where German are active, I will make myself a pleasure to post it there....

With the load of cards you must get, it's insane for anyone to think you will or should or even could afford the replies out of your own pocket. No matter how comfortable your life is, I'd be using the bureau for those who can't or won't bother to send IRCs.

I for one have never even heard XV on the air. I doubt I ever will. But if I were to work you, I'd certainly help cover your expenses as related to my card. I need an XV card a whole lot more than you need New Jersey. Of that I am certain.

You're not wrong. They're arrogant. They don't deserve your card. You've already done too much to try to clear things up. Next cards that come, toss 'em.

You have my understanding Pierre.

That's better than a German bug that clubs you!

Well, I began to be an idiot. I sent Yesterday an email to 8 addresses I could find from the OMs. Sofar no reply  !!
I do not want to use or bother a manager. For me it is just a hobby. I am also happy emptying my mail box.

But gosh, if they do not reply my emails, for sure I am not sending anything back!

Chris, it is possible a qso, no? But New Jersey is also one of the toughest (through North Pole). could work there sometimes on 15 meters while beaming Europe.

Nice waterfront property you have, Pierre ;)

I have a QSL card from him, sent in thanks for the .0125 63/37 solder I sent him.

Not worth anything, but, it is to me ;)

Thanks Pierre, yes I imagine it would be possible if I had a REAL station here. But we live in a rental apartment and I have no outdoor antennas. My entire operation is from my truck, which is not ideal by any stretch. So I pretty much just ragchew on 20, 30, and 40 CW and from time to time work a little EU dx on those bands.

Thankfully I've never really been a chaser. Perhaps one day we'll work. I'll go take over my brother's station maybe . . . !
