Missing Thread

I am sure I was involved in a thread that is Now Gone!!

Whatever went on, ECI got banned. I'm clueless. I've been allowed a great deal of tolerance. My observation would be that one must really say something stupid to get banned around here.

Thanks for the update. Wow, got banned over that thread.
I didn't think that thread was all that important for someone to get banned over it. Obviously I missed alot on here while I was with my grand kids!

Dan, I just checked and it doesn't say Kc9ECI is banned? Perhaps you mean a different ECI??

BTW, ECI wasn't banned but he got some references to the original thread deleted.

No. I meant KC9ECI. But apparently somebody changed their mind. When I looked earlier he was banned. I didn't double check when I replied to your post.

I would really like a good explanation as to why the thread was deleted (i.e. not that the anonymous "QRZ Staff" can't take any criticism). Of course, I won't ever get one. *sigh*

The thread about the student was removed by QRZ.com because of the personal attacks, the fact that it got way off topic (this is not usually a reason for closing or deletion on this site), and the fact that several people were warned yet kept continually posting the same type of material.

I have been asked by the person who did delete the topic to relay this information and to close down the topic where this is explained. Also, I caution everyone not to continue such discussions. To put it bluntly, "lay off"!

The person who deleted the subject was very "tempted" to ban a number of participants. However, as far as I know no one was banned. But, a number of those people who went off the "deep end" are being closely watched and may, at any time, be banned if they do not adhere to the rules of the road of QRZ.com.
