Good for shack OR MOBILE tasks. NOT a Windows machine.
* 286 (or 8086?) mProcessor
* 640K RAM, tests good
* 20 or 40-MB hard drive, runs
* 3-1/2" floppy works great
* modem 2.4k
* Backlit LCD works great, bright & sharp image
* old 4.8V Nicad now dead, so I hooked 2 clipleads inside batt compartment to 6v gelcell batt. Runs great on it or any 6v 1-amp PS. MY gel batt NOT included
* RUNS on DOS: DOS 3.2 on floppy loaded up fine
* Serial, parallel ports, AC PS port (no PS), audio, 2 unkn ports, RJ-11 in modem
* Unit in very good shape, everything I could try works fine
Once a VERY expensive $3000+ laptop, but we all know how that goes 8..(
Can be used to program commercial or ham radios, RPTRs, run Packet/RTTY on all TNC's (PK232, KPC2, KAM, MFJ1278), run SAT tracking, Logging, spreadsheet & dbase prgms. STILL a LOT that DOS will do.
