Hey, that's awesome. I've been playing with google's satellite stuff for a couple days now, but haven't found anything like that yet.

Really Nice!! I remember when a couple other servers were close to but not as good as this one, that but now they charge and have overlays etc.
This one is bookmarked for future use, hopefully they don't play games like the other sat' photo services.

That was fun. #Easy to spot because of the shape.

I have used it with IE and Firefox .91 and 1.03, IIRC.
Be sure javascript is turned on.
It may not work on dialup.

Check out the far east side of the east/west runway, it looks like a plane getting ready to take off.
Post Edit:
Waiting for the next target.

Oh, man. Not all areas of the maps have the same resolution. It seems to have best detail around urban or more populated areas.
Let's see, since I am from the Chicago area, how about O'Hare Airport, or Navy Pier. They should be pretty easy to spot.

I have a feeling someone will be getting a email from the CIA. Is it US only or world wide? How about area 51 or Chernobyl?

I don't think that will be a problem. #I was checking out one of my old stomping grounds:
Hunter Army Airfield (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=savannah+ga&ll=32.011757,-81.148195&spn=0.048580,0.061626&t=k&hl=en)
Zoom it in and you can see where portions of the tarmac are edited out. #When I looked at Lawson Army Airfield, the runways and taxiways are all edited out!

Hi all,
I see we're all having fun except those without a supported browser, here's what works. Pay attention to the version, older ones may not work.
IE 5.5+ (download: Windows)
Firefox 0.8+ (download: Windows Mac linux)
Safari 1.2.4+ (download: Mac)
Netscape 7.1+ (download: Windows Mac linux)
Mozilla 1.4+ (download: Windows Mac linux)
Opera 7+ (download: Windows Mac linux)
I found my QTH in a fairly recent photo but looking straight down I can't see my antennas. (;->) Must be spring or fall, doesn't look like winter but with all the available parking spots it CAN'T be summer at the Jersey Shore so close to the beach.
