- specious story and piss-poor journalism... give this one an 'F' for the following:
major omissions, missing facts:
- what carrier?
- what type of aircraft?
- what flight number
- when did this happen?
- company pilots?
- number of people on aircraft?
- when i read stories like this on supposed 'news organization' web sites, i am extremely gratified that i never pursued my intentioned career as a journalist...

Carrier - Phuket Air (Mentioned twice)
Aircraft - Boeing 747 (title "Britons in JUMBO* terror")
Yes the story is a bit "thin", but info is there if you look for it.

Given the name of the airlines and some of the descriptions of what was going on in the plane, I really wonder if that story was not posted in the news on April 1. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif
Phuket if they can't take a joke!

This story is absolutely true. # I don't know what the article posted for the name of the airline, but it is a long branch of "Fudpucker World Airlines" #based originally in Hayden, Idaho. # #Or was it Hayden Lake, Idaho?
This #also used to be part of Fudpucker Trucking Co.

Yawn.
From the details in the story,it wasn't a flight at all. The crew taxied out and taxied back -- never got airborne.
I'd bet big that a few hysterical passengers over-reacted and mis-represented the facts. Maybe retitle it: "Unfortunate Taxiing Upsets a Few Nut Cases"

Hi DJM and readers,
"This also used to be part of Fudpucker Trucking Co."
I still remember a joke I heard in grade school about Peter Fudpucker, think about it.
Re ZMA:
"Phuket is a place in Thailand, very popular as a holiday destination."
Anyone who heard about the tsunami is well aware of that.

He said: "It's crazy to say gallons of fuel were leaking out.
"Are passengers really qualified to know what's going on? There was no danger to passengers. People sometimes panic."
__
Anybody who says that is probably not concerned with the safety of the passengers and the date on it says April 4th
