AARA Founder to Join ARRL As Third Vice President

NEWINGTON, Conn., April 1, 2005 - The American Radio Relay League (ARRL) announced today that it will acquire the American Amateur Radio Association (AARA), a leading provider of Amateur Information Bulletin Services. The deal unites the two most prominent Amateur Radio organizations in the United States. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

In my opinion this, if true, is nothing to get excited about.
The ARRL and the AARA have never had any significant differerences of opinion....or so its seems to them.

When the AFL joined the CIO or when the AIEE joined the IRE or when Compac joined HP
I got all fired up ...but the ARRL joining the AARA doesn't give me goose bumps.
