theres a net on the reflector 9310 in england area, its a fun net.you log on, and the net control operator goes around on the list and asks everybody a multiple choice question, and you answer it and he tells the long answer, with all the info so its fun and you learn something. so its fun

If you like that net, you'd also like the Hawaiin "Au Au" Net which takes place on The western reflector Channel 4. (I think that would make it 9454) Friday Night at Midnight eastern time. It's been a long time since I've been able to make that net so I could be wrong on the time. You get a helping of trivia and very infotaining.

Well, I guess we still aren't going to learn what a reflector is. As far as I know, it's the long parasitic element on a YAGI.

Sorry, I didn't mean to dodge the question. I thought it might have been sarchastic. Think of a reflector like an Internet chat room. You could connect with a user one-on-one by email (Individual nodes), or you could just go to the chat room and talk to everyone who is at the chat room. (the reflector). With regard to IRLP, you can easily have a net at a specified time and people/nodes/repeaters all over the world can connect to a reflector because it can facilitate a large number of connections.
