Cliff Notes:
Iraqi militants claim they have kidnapped a soldier, and posted a picture on their web-site. Liam Cusack, of Dragon Models USA Inc. says it has a very astonishing resemblance to "Cody", one of their action figures.

I'm just curious how they got that gun to hover next to his head there. Usually you see someone holding it.
Guess nobody makes a militant toy yet...

Duh... upside down picture. #the "wall" is the floor! #why use fishing line when gravity is free! #I speculate and submit....that some of the guys in camp WTF were bored, bought one of these toys, and busted out the beer, JD and a digital camera. #Posed it, probably put barbie somewhere in there, then got a great belly laugh over the rest of the beer!
They sent this picture to one of there buddies and well. #We know how long it took Abu Gharib to stay a secret. #and next thing you know, this gets sent to Jihad-TV
We did the same thing with that sailor GI-Joe but didnt have digital cameras then.

It has to be our guys putzin around. If you remember there was a message with it. The arabic wasnt quite correct, it had mis-spellings and the grammar was off. Probably got one of the psy-ops translators in on the gag (or the beer and likker) and had them type up some bogus sounding mail.
I think its a hoot!

There are similarities... the militant Islamists want all Islamic countries to have the same form of government, the same laws, the same customs, and so on. They also believe that "resistance is futile," that Islam will eventually take over the world, and all non-Muslims will be relegated to second-class status ("you will service us").

Latest intel: this captured soldier has turned up okay in Lebanon with his family. Might have actually gone AWOL from his unit.
Maybe he was searching for the batteries that weren't included.
