Dear Mr Hollingsworth,
Many GOOD hams want to know! #What can we do to help police our bands? #Respectfully, we know that enforcement is way too big a job for one man (you). #Some of us wish to take our self policing roles more seriously and do our part. #Some of us believe that it is high time to bring "peer pressure" back to amateur radio, but we want to do it correctly. #Most of us need a better understanding of what it means to "self police". #You can help!
Therefore, as a fellow ham who appreciates what you do, I wish to offer you a gentlemanly challenge to come on this forum and expound upon these matters and enlighten us as to our acceptible roles as hams to self police our bands and to help restore substantial compliance to Part 97 on the amateur bands. #Some of us know that you are committed. #We want to get on board. #What-d-ya say Mr Hollingsworth?

TOM OB,
You don't really expect an answer out of "HIS HOLINESS" do you???
Look, all he is is a "LAWYER" plain and simple, and as far as his ability to get into the technical "nuts & bolts" running and maintaining repeaters and of of the legalities of what is right or wrong with them it seems that he has NO CLUE!!!
He is one person who is HIGHLY PARTISIAN, make no mistake about that, he'll help those he likes, or those who manage to grab his ear once in awhile!!! But to the regular JOE SHMOE your're Guitly until proven INNOCENT!!!
Though don't get me wrong, if he'd be willing to get out here and carry on a dialog with us commoners once in awhile that would be great!!! But I'm guessing he would tell all concerned NO!!! Instead he would say "E.MAIL me instead"!!! I bet that he doe'nt read much more than a few of those that he actually gets, because he's too busy flying around this great country of ours on ALL EXPENSES PAID-HAM CONVENTION TRIPS!!!

http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif If I ( like many others ) wasn't ignoring RM, I'd ask whhhat the heck e-Bay has to do with what the poster is talking about? But, as I said, I'm ignoring RM so......... http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif A response from the FCC's pet ham here in a real 1st amendment environment is at best a pipe dream.
Our Mr. H is of the opinion He should be heard and not talked to, let alone questioned. Here He is just one of us and without the protection the FCC's famous ability to ignore the Constitution. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Our interests are only represented by the equaly unaproachable ARRL. ( No flames, I'm a member )
http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Our best course of action is to elect more Hams as congresspersons ( PC Huh? ) and senaters etc. Although I don't know of too many real Hams who would want to give up the air time to join in such a wild goose chase as gouvernment! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
