On the weekend of 29th & 30th January, we will be running a charity Radio event in aid of the Tsunami victims and their families. Due to legal/UK License restrictions we can't ask for, or accept donations over the air. However we are collecting pledged amounts up front for the cause. We will be operating from 09:30 Saturday through till Sunday evening (time to be decided depending on activity amount).
All we ask from other Radio Ham's, is that they call in and show their support by getting their Callsign in our logbook for that weekend. As this is a charity event we will not use the funds for QSL cards, but will QSL as our normal Club call through the usual routes.
Listen for GX3VRE on 40m & 80m also 2m, we will be active on other bands as conditions allow.
Due to offers of help and donations it looks like it will be a productive weekend.
