With the amount of driving I do to install Hospice Medical Equipment, I've noticed several areas like Micco and Barefoot Bay, FL that are still heavily damaged from the hurricanes. Including street signs being destroyed and still haven't been replaced yet.
So I got the Pharos GPS System for my IPAQ RX3100 and took it out on a test drive tonight. With voice prompts telling you when to turn, it makes it an INVALUABLE tool especially for hurricane damaged areas. It's even gotten to the point where my boss is considering buying 6 IPAQ RX3100's and 6 Pharos GPS Systems for all us drivers.
There are still areas of the county that even with the mapbook are hard to navigate simply because I've never been there before. What a godsend this turned out to be.
It also includes a cigarette lighter adapter so the Pocket PC (IPAQ RX 3100) stays charged and you don't have to worry about the battery in the IPAQ going dead.
Great invention. Works with 98% accuracy and that's close enough for me.
