Seen on back of Automobile Sunscreen , " Please remove this screen before attempting to operate vehicle ! " # # Well, DUUUUH !http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Actually, I've always thought that famous warning on a rear-view mirror was a bit obvious, "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear!"

One of my favorites was the warning on some sort of cold medication for toddlers or younger to not operate heavy equipment while taking this medication.

Due to the famous McDonalds lawsuit.

Do a search on the web about the lawsuit in question. It really is good reading. If you recall, it involved an older lady who spilled a hot cup of McDonalds coffee onto her lap while driving & took McDonalds to court.

What you will find in the "nitty gritty" of this suit is that McDonalds was given MANY CHANCES to pay for the ladys E.R. visit ($400 or so, I can't recall the exact figure) but would not agree pay a dime...........The rest is history.

I still think McDonald's should ONLY have agreed to pay the fine if the lady in question had agreed to tattoo "Dumber than a bag of hammers" on her own forehead as a requirement for cashing the check..

Yeah, that is what is so scarey about most of them. Just thinking someone did something to get that warning on the chainsaw about not stoping the chain with your genitals is really really scary.

A little off the thread, but, if you haven't already, try <www.darwinawards.com> for some real screamers. Its about idiots with the good grace to remove themselves from the human gene pool in spectacularly stupid ways. Usually a postumous honor. Some great urban legands in there too.

The gene pool probably could use a little chlorine.

On Cops the other nite I saw a rerun of one where three people were coming out the back door of a Goodwill store with some items... in the wee hours of the morning.

Their reasoning? "Goodwill gives stuff to folks that are poor."

Oh, they were on their way home after picking up their friend... who just got out of jail.

Yep, chlorine in the gene pool might be good.
