All my years of hamming, and I have never participated in SKN ( what's SKN ? Straight Key Night ! of course ! ) Shame on me !

Hopefully this year! BTW, does a "Bug" count ? It's NOT electronic ! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Bugs do NOT count for SKN. #Neither do keyers. #Each dot and dash must be manually sent. #And I admit, I need practice on the straight key. #I'm so spoiled by the MM-3.

Added after re-reading the rules, #I stand corrected, Jim:

"You will hear as many vintage radios on the air during SKN as you will a variety of keys. #And you will hear signals generated using old-fashioned bugs, a variation of the straight key." -- ##From page 105, December, 2004 QST. #"2005 ARRL Straight Key Night Announcement."

So have at it! CU there!

Love the acronym there!

SKN = Straight Key Night (use whatever you have, paddle, iambic, left foot, two wires, etc.).....

CU on the air!
