but I just got the chance to actually listen to him today and he had a short QSO with someone and then started playing this recording that keeps repeating itslef over and over. #the frequency is 3.975.3 MHz. #It's been doing it sings about 5:28 PM EST and it ended at 6:30 PM EST! #I have included a short 1 minute recording of this for annyone who cannot listen and as proof that this is real.
I have had to momentarily shut the radio off because I could not take it annymore it mentally is hard to listen to with it repeating over and over.

Thanks

He does it just because he can and knows that nothing will ever be done about it. It sounds like he is gething further off the deep end.
How sad........:(

I heard the broadcast you mentioned. The thing I can't understand is how the FCC continues to leave this guy alone.
I he was transmitting a bulletin as he says it wouldn't be so bad, but he admits he runs a talk show. Where in part 97 does it say you can have a talk show (or any show) over ham radio.

In his own words, from www.k1man.com (http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/K1MAN14275/myhomepage/business.html)
Quote[/b] ]3. K1MAN is mentally sick.
K1MAN RESPONSE:
True story. My loving wife Bonnie (married 25 years) and I went to counseling years ago. The counselor at first said there was very little wrong. Then she got the gist of me. She quit counseling. I swear to God. She closed her office for good. Am I sick? You bet I am, and I am quite proud to be mentally ill! Ask Bonnie! She will tell you that I even talk to myself. And there is no known cure for whatever it is that I have.

Take it from a former, and very occassionally, CBer, the more attention you give this guy, here or on the air, the more he loves it. I'm just trying to figure out why this guy still has a license, perhaps I don't know the whole story, but eeeesh, I listen to HF fairly often and it seems to rival CB in idiocy.
Happy Holidays.
This guy reminds me of a guy in Belize back in the 80's who got on the air and ranted and raved at his belief of poor quality in MFJ equipment. Every day you could find him somewhere going on and on until one day he disappeared, supposable he got a shock while working inside his amplifier. This guy Baxter is out there for sure, just had a chance this past weekend to read a little of his webpage and I listened to his AM broadcast on 3.890 MHz (I think). Eventually he to will pass and there will probably be another to take his place. The only thing the amateur community can do is keep complaining to the FCC and maybe someday they will do something other than send him warning notices.

Even though it was partly my fault, I kept listening for about 15-20 minutes lol. after that I couldnt take it anymore and left the room for abouit 5 minutes. Last night I couldnt sleep good lol, I kept hearing the K1MAN broadcast in my head, I went to bed at 10:30 and didnt fall asleep till 12:30. Though I could have shut it off and stopped listening, just thought I would mention it...

I heard Baxter a few minutes a few weeks ago. Maybe three or four minutes. Haven't heard him since.
Wonder if that's because I don't listen for him? Maybe that's why I enjoy 75 meters, too? ... Cause I don't look for the idiots and nuts on there, but find a sensible place to be.
I can find the weird stuff on internet ham forums.
(OK, you all think I'm on Baxter's side now! Darn! Nope. I just don't let him bother me. Been hearing idiots on the ham bands for nearly 50 years, so I've grown sort of used to it. I find when I don't listen to them, they don't give me headaches. I can get Super Giant Economy Size headaches reading the ham forums. )

He's a Ham, right? So, when was the last time he called "CQ," or had an on-air" QSO with anyone, and has anyone...repeat, ANYONE ever heard Baxter ask if "this frequency is in use?" before barging in. My theory is his receiver is broke...or mayby he doesn't have one. Maybe we oughta take up a collection to buy him an S-38.
