If anyone can stand some good news this morning, check this out from the ARRL website:

Very nice indeed. It's good that someone beside the hams isn't hoodwinked by this BPL grail.
ADSL on phone lines could present some of the same interference problems that BPL does since it is still an "unshielded" copper wire.
Enclosed CATV coax will have the least impact on ham radio reception.

Saw that this morning when I was checking the ARRL website - It is nice to see, hope it is a trend!
I think I'll keep using Earthlink for my ISP.
K7FE...I've got ADSL here, and don't notice any interference from it. #Guess the "twisted pair" concept works.
I do have some interference from the local cable company - they've got some leakage in my neighborhood, but that is another battle!

If that is all that has been made available to the press, there's doubtless more negatives the BPL proponents are becoming aware of as one trial after another gets shut down for undisclosed reasons.
The chinks in the armour are spreading.

I have cable here provided from Time Warner with Roadrunner service... Its nice to know that Earthlink is not going to get in on BPL anytime soon (if ever) Eathlink has always been one of the better ISP's in my mind. Nice to see them holding up to my expectations..
I hope that other companies see the way earthlink does..
ADSL presents no problems here, either.
