On March 9th an open house will be held at The D Russel Lee Vocational School in the new operations center of The Butler County VHF Association.
The Butler County VHF Association is an amateur radio club established in 1958. It is actively involved in offering emergency radio communications to local agencies, such as The Red Cross, in the event of any major emergencies in Butler County.
Anyone interested in amateur radio and what it can provide for the betterment of, and service to the community, is invited. Club members will be demonstrating various modes of amateur radio and will be standing by to answer questions.
To those in attendance, communications involving amateur radio equipment will be allowed. Refreshments will be served. Open house will be from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Information will be available for anyone interested in securing a ham radio license.
