I am hoping that someone out there can tell me the wiring diagram on a D-104 Microphone ( 6 wire ) to a Icom 756 pro and I want to remove the battery and get the voltage from the radio to run the microphone. I have seen these for sale from time to time on E-bay but I never snatched one up. Does anyone know right off hand the wiring diagram on the Icom 756 pro Microphone outlet ? How about the wiring diagram on an already converted Microphone ? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Your 756 Pro manual has the wiring info. I would not use the 8V line. #It cannot source that much current and you are better off with the battery in the D-104. #The mic switch has one set of contacts that switch the battery on when you key the mic to talk. #The Pro has a low impedance input for mics. #The D-104 without a preamp is a hi Z. #Used to have a D-104 and it is a great mic. The battery life is quite long.

The mic shielded wire is the audio hi and the shield is low. Do not remember the others, but a VOM will show you which two are PTT and ground.

Love my pro, but use an SM-20...
