I was in the car, on the way to school with my older brother. Heard it on the radio, watched the news all through school.

I was scheduled to fly across country that morning. I was staying with a friend because I sold my house and was house hunting for a new one. He woke me up @ 6:00 something AM (Pacific time) and said a plane hit the WTT in NYC. I said yeah right and tried to go back to sleep, then he turned the TV on in my bedroom and I thought..JEEEZZUS!

I was riding in Moulton , turned on the 2 meter rig to the 147.240 repeaterin Huntsville , heard 2 hams ( unknown callsigns ) discussing a plane hitting a building in NYC so I called home on the 146.960 auto patch , told them to turn the tv on and tell me what they saw. They just said " come home --- NOW ! "...so I did. The rest is like what you folks saw on tv.

I was on the Key Bridge going into DC from Arlington. I didn't see it but I heard a tremendous boom when the plane hit the Pentagon. About 15 minutes later I was able to get down to the 66 entrance by the Kenedy Center and the cops let around the road block (I'm a Fed), I drove right past the west wing of the Pentagon, stopped the car, got out, worst feeling I ever had.

I was in class at a Federal installation when the news began to filter in. #We all brought up the internet to find out what was going on.
By lunchtime we were ordered to evacuate the building since no one knew if anymore targets would be hit.
I checked in with RACES to see if anything was going on and picked my kids up from school since they were closing too.
Very sad day.
I see on the newsites that a tape is out threatening a bigger attack if we don't vote the "right" way.

I was in class (college) from 9-10. I got out of class at about 10 and went to the store to buy some gum. I saw it on the TV in there and a lot of people were standing around watching it. And of course, there were a lot of rumors going around.
I really didn't get the idea of what truely happened until I got home at about noon and watched TV. The day America was attacked. It's still hard to believe.

I was on the way into work when the first plane hit, and at work for the second strike.
I remember the guy on the radio station commenting on the lack of news that morning... I imagine he probably wishes he didn't say that.

I was at home doing schoolwork when my brother called my mom. Then she turned on the TV and we started watching ABC. It was kinda a shock to see the first building fall down on TV because in the begining the news reporters thought that just part of the building had crumbled off. Then you see the whole building come down! It was pretty suprising but it really didn't hit me that hard. I guess it was probably because I already new quite abit about terrorism in Israel and they have been having this kinda thing go on for years. I had trouble sleeping the first night, kept thinking about cadavoir dogs.

Was at work when someone who was listening to the radio said a plane had just crashed into the World Trade Center. #Of course we all thought it was a terrible accident, but then word came of the second hit. #Thoughts immediately became "this was no accident". #We have a tour/media room where I work that was not in use that day, and management allowed the large screen TV to be tuned to the news. #Many of us spent a good part of that day watching events unfold. #
My wife was to have been on a flight to Washington D.C. that morning, but had cancelled the trip just a couple days before. #Don't know how I would have handled it if she hadn't, just watching what was going on was bad enough. #Will never forget the feeling, the shock, and then the intense anger.

Oh Yeah!!??.... That reminds me of a guy on the CB back in the 70s who said he had a way of knowing when I was listening to the CB. I never got the details on how he did it and I feel I you won't be forthcoming with any precious secrets either.
OH!!!OH!!!!...wait...I just thought of 2 ways to do it.....never mind.

I was preforming CPR on a patient and just finished placing a breathing tube when my partiner looked at his pager and exclamed "Oh F***ing ****! a plane just flew into the World Trade Center!". After dropping our paitent off at the hospital one of the doctors informed us that a second plane had just hit the other tower so we went to the lobby to see the news and while returning to the station the streets were amazingly clear and the radio strangly quiet for the rest of the day.

I had just come home from a 3rd Shift Security position and turned on the TV in time to see the 2nd plane fly into the second tower.
Immediately called my wife at work to tell her to turn on the TV. Where I worked closed that night so I didn't have to come into work, but when it closed they put out neon string lights and formed the letters "FDNY NYPD NYC GOD BLESS"

I was in bed. First plane hit between 4 and 5am local time.
My father in law, who is a pilot, called us and said that a jet had hit the WTC. I got up and turned on the TV a few minutes before the second jet hit.
Father in law was at work. They were on the taxi way getting ready to enter the runway and take off when they were called back and told that all air traffic was grounded.
I went into work and could not believe how silent the airport was. Only sound of aircraft was when they scrambled some fighters out of Elmendorf to intercept a Korean airliner that was ignoring the tower. They nearly shot down that jet.

I was just where I am now. I had just come downstairs and turned the computer on and a couple of radios and turned the tv on to ABC's Good Morning America. They were showing tapes of the first plane hitting the first tower and talking to people over the country and then the 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower and also word came in about the plane hitting the Pentagon. I remember going upstairs and telling the wife to get her tv on and watch what was going on then I came back down here.

I'm a news watcher. I was watching FOX news like I do most mornings, and they came on with a burning building and said that a plane crashed into it. And about 45 minutes later, I saw the 2nd plane crash into the other tower.
