Quote[/b] ]Before voting even began in Philadelphia -- poll watchers found nearly 2000 votes already planted on machines scattered in heavy-minority locations throughout the city.
Republican poll watchers claim:
One incident occurred at the SALVATION ARMY, 2601 N. 11th St., Philadelphia, Pa: Ward 37, division 8.
Pollwatchers uncovered 4 machines with planted votes; one with over 200 and one with nearly 500...
A second location, 1901 W. Girard Ave., Berean Institute, Philadelphia, Pa, had 300+ votes already on 2 machines at start of day.
ANOTHER INCIDENT: 292 votes on machine at start of day; WARD/DIVISION: 7/7: ADDRESS: 122 W. Erie Ave., Roberto Clemente School, Philadelphia, Pa..
ANOTHER: 456 votes on machine at start of day; WARD/DIVISION: 12/3; ADDRESS: 5657 Chew Ave., storefront, Philadelphia, Pa...
...
Officially, election officials explain the discrepancy is being caused by a number showing how many times various machines have been used.
But officials could not explain why machines used in other location were 'clean.'
...
Elsewhere, a gun was purposely made visible to scare poll watchers at Ward 30, division 11, at 905 S. 20th St., Grand Court. Police were called and quickly surrounded the location...
Developing...
Hmmm... whatcha wanna bet all the dead folks in Philly rose up and voted in the <s>dead</s> oops... middle of the night?

Not good, not good at all.
Wow AAO....
So concerned about voting irregularities here in Philadelphia....based on such a reliable source as Matt Drudge.
While indifferent to the ones that happened in Florida back in 2000...
Oh yeah...I remember now, those never really happened.
Y'er right.

I'm incredibly shocked this occurred and also that someone would instantly bring up the 2000 election. Shocked, I tell you!

There have been a number of stories in the press about voting machines (mostly the computerized ones) that have showed up with votes already cast in them for both candidates. One of the stories I heard somewhere said that it was a result of testing the machines, and that they simply weren't cleared out before being sent to the polls. Oy, will we ever get a uniform system for every state in this country???!!! It is ridiculous that in this age of technology we can't even get a simple voting system in place that is both provable and reliable. I really hope this doesn't turn into the mess that we had in 2000, but there are some bad signs out there.
Look:
If something is wrong with the vote tally here in Philadelphia, it should be investigated and corrected.
Anyone responsible should be prosecuted.
What amuses me however... is that today Bush apologists who have been utterly indifferent for the last 4 years to the BS that went on in Florida last time around...
That now these folk have become paragons of voting integrity......so concerned as they are that we enjoy a fair election, however late was their conversion in that regard.
Yep....more than a little amusing.

Nobody in this thread was here four years ago.
Philly politics as usual. I am surprised it was not 200,000 votes. Like Chicago, (and every other machine controlled city) padding the vote by whatever means is fair game if you don't get caught. A lot of deceased people were resurrected on All Souls day this year.

Hey, news flash, LXR... it's 2004, not 2000! We're talking about voting irregularities happening today, not four years ago.
Just proves that the liberals are stuck in the past, I guess.

You must be talking about how the Gore campaign only wanted to recount counties that were heavily democratic #http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Nope AAO:
What it shows is that your newfound concern regarding fair and honest elections surely rings quite hollow...
You don't really expect me to believe that after 4 years of Bush apologists brushing aside the Florida debacle in '00....that your hyperactive concern over the integrity of this year's election (based on the Drudge Report no less) is born of genuine civic concern, now do you?
And stuff the "Liberal" line too because more than a few Republicans and traditional conservatives are just as sick of "W."
Out.
TP
They recounted the voted in Florida numerous ways. Bush won in every recount. Whether they included the hanging, dimpled, dented, or assumed chads, Bush still won.
If the recounts were swinging back and fourth, the Dems would have a legitimate gripe. But this was not the case. Like it or not, Bush won Florida.

Some of you water-Kerriers must be getting desperate to make such innane posts as this.

You guys always whine about biased media. Drudge is about as biased as they get.
I don't accept anything he says as fact, until it has been confirmed by other sources.
Because Drudge says so, doesn't make it a fact.
I'm not going to get into a flame war with you, so don't expect one. I know where you stand, I think you're wrong, and I'm going to leave it at that, so spare me your insults.

Yeah, I know, that Drudge is so biased... that's why he put this up above the masthead on his front page (http://drudgereport.com) (as of the time of this message, at least):
Quote[/b] ]Exit poll mania spread through media and campaign circles Tuesday afternoon after first wave of morning data showed Kerry competitive in key states.... National Election Pool -- representing six major news organization -- shows Kerry in striking distance -- with small 1% lead -- in Florida and Ohio, sources tell DRUDGE...
And then just below, but still above the masthead, in type only slightly smaller than the "Drudge Report" masthead (again, remember that Drudge updates frequently, so it may change by the time you get there):
Quote[/b] ]KERRY FINDS COMFORT IN FIRST BATCH OF EXIT POLLS
Yep, lotta bias showing there.

I'm still baffled how Drudge can be biased when all he does is post links to other news sites?
Turnout here in Philadelphia may break all records.
Lots of excitement with people holding signs, honking horns, and encouraging people to vote.
Cool.

Simple... according to the liberal mind, if he posts even one story that might possibly be construed as pro-Bush, he is ipso facto biased.
But the NY Times can print/post whatever pro-Kerry stuff they want and they are still "unbiased" in the liberal mind.

Another foolish statement.
How can one report what someone is GOING TO DO? It is subjunctive. Contrary to fact. It is something that could or might occur in the future.
The very notion of reporting such a thing is idiotic. One could PREDICT an action or reaction, and be wrong about such a prediction.
As I stated in an earlier post. Facts are facts. As Anatole France put it: "though a million people believe a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing."
Clearly, he understood Democrits.

Maybe if Bush wins Orv will get back into it.
Some Democrat co-wprkers of mine were discussing going to Pa or Oh to help get out the vote on election day.
They were not at work on Nov. 2
I had no idea they were getting an early start.

Anyone who tries to defraud the election process should have thier hands cut off on the spot. Make an example of one or two and we'll see how many more try it. Try to vote with a nub to push the buttons.............
