ELECTION NEWS: Dan Rather has called California for himself...he thinks...it's from a really, really reliable source though.

There is still a big chance for Kerry to pull through.. I won't be calling anything intill more precentage of the votes get in.. Its not right for the news channels to be lighting up the map with blue and red when only 4% of the votes are accualty counted in some of those states.. Bush is winning the popular vote, and right now the election.. but you never know, a lot can happen after the west coast comes in.. and Ohio/Florida are going to be big factors, and I think Ohio will go Blue...

That was not just a mistake, OM... he deliberately ignored the advice of his own document examiners. They told him not to run with it, and he did anyway. That's malfeasance, not a mistake.

O'Reilly has never made any secret of his political leanings, and his show is quite obviously an opinion show.

Rather has denied that he lets his opinions color his news reporting, and his show is quite obviously a news show.

Nice try, but no. We have some lovely parting gifts for you.

O'reilly is not a news anchor, he host an editorial news analysis program. Dan Rather is not only the lead anchor but also the Managing Editor of CBS news. Apples and oranges.

Topic says Bush wins.

The map looks a lot like the one at 9 oclock CST in the last election but it was Gore who was ahead. Florida has not been called yet.

No, I guess you can't.

Florida has 77% reporting but they are not calling it. Utah has ZERO reporting and they gave it to Bush.

No dummies at Yahoo.com I guess.

EDIT.....

And New Mexico has Bush leading by 60 to 39 percent but they are not calling that yet either.......

Chris Matthews looks like a zombie that just lost his favorite brain. Ohio got it right. How about that? If the demos stoop to challenging the results just another nail in their coffin with the majority of Americans. The party is in pitiful shape.

Ohio is red! #Even in Kerry's strongest county, his lead is insufficient to overcome the remainder of the state, even if provisional ballots were 100% in his favor! #

In other words, in Ohio, Michael Moore is in drag, clearing his throat, because the real ladies voted for Bush. #

And SY, AAO, and YS, you will love this: #Chris and I voted first thing yesterday morning then we went to breakfast. #About half way through the meal, a group of Kerry supporters came in and got assigned to the table next to ours, one of them wearing a Kerry/Edwards black teeshirt. #That's how we knew their sentiments. # #

I wish I had had a camera with me as we left. #I would have taken a picture of the t-shirted, chubby fellow, eating his breakfast--a giant, syrup covered waffle. #It would have been the pictoral definiton of irony!

Here's another irony:

A few weeks ago, Sinclair Broadcasting announced it would air "Stolen Honor." In response, Chad Clanton, speaking on behalf of the Kerry campaign, threatened Sincair with the ominous warning, "You better hope we don't win!"

If the Dems' analysts determine that the threat affected voters' perceptions of Kerry's campaign, they will no doubt blame the returns once again on Chad.

Most Ohioians are smarter than you may think!

Ohio is Bush territory.

What shocks me, is the shear numbers of "doe in the headlights" democrats, normally sober people that can vote for a low life sleeze such is Kerry.

I do know this, the picture of Kerry in his white naval uniform throughly pissed off a good many of the vets.

While sitting at the workers table, this "person" came in, got his ballot, and went to vote... nothing too terribly unusual about this, except he walked into the building, walked back and forth across "5XB''s" area, then back and forth across "5XC's" area and back and forth across our area, as if he was lost or confused.. he knew exactly what he was doing, he was wearing a Kerry t-shirt and hat as well as several buttons/pins.

After he finished in the booth, he SLOWLY walked to the ballot taker, so everyone could see his shirt.

While we would have been in the right to ask him to advertise at least 100 feet away from door, we let him strut. We (including the dems at the table) knew his actions had ZERO effect, we figured him for the township IDIOT.

I know he is a fool, unless he stole the shirt and hat, it is useless as of today... then again, his name could be LOSER, and where ever he goes, some will call out his name.

That is just too blatant! If I had seen such a person where I voted, I would have called Kenny. Although I don't know about your weather, ours was quite bleak, the archetype of "dank, drizzly, November." But there were a lot of Kerry workers, standing in the rain holding up signs at intersections: "Honk for Kerry."

Many of them were attractive, college-aged women. Some intersections looked as if Kerry had sponsored a wet T-shirt contest. Grizzled old lech that I am, some of them certainly "honked" my horn!

http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I know there were discrepancies with exit polls, so many that FNC quit referring to them. I wonder if the pollsters submitted the number honks as poll results. HMMMMM!
