I respectfully disagree about what the Israelis should have done.
If an Israeli attack had killed Arafat, they'd have created a martyr. A dead martyr is in many ways more dangerous than a live terrorist.
Arafat passing naturally (assuming he does) makes it much harder to make a martyr out of him.

According to MSN.com it now seems apparent that Arafat has Blood Cancer and is being flown to Paris for medical care.

Martyrs are highly overrated in their real effectiveness, whether Che Guevara or Horst Wessel.
Dead Arafat is the best thing for us and the world. Sooner or later, a real government in Palestine needs to be created. He has been little more than an incumbrance. Funny thing is, he is actually an Egyptian by birth.
The only thing that makes him Palestinian is his legacy. Shows you how decent the bulk of the mideastern whackos are: the Palestinians have been living in camps since they ran away from Israel in 1948. If the arab world wanted to solve the problem, they would have built a couple cities along the Saudi coast and invited the Palestinians to live there. The cash to do such a thing can be found in the cushions of a Saudi Princes' couch.
The palestinians have been used for years. They are a political tool to the arab world, nothing more.
Maybe Arafat will assume room temp very soon, and then Fidel will follow
Arafat is a terrorist leader and as such should be executed. Once done, they will throw a BIG funeral which will draw out alot more Arab terrorists. Bomb the funeral. Each of those funerals will be accompanied by large angry riots, bomb those too.
Then his death will have meaning.

Maybe Fidel will go first, he did not look good last time I saw him on the news.
