For those of you who have tried everything known to man / women to learn this stuff called CW, here's one more thing to try.

It's called Morse Email.

Yep, you bring up the program, enter into the text box a message you want to send, the program then translates it into a code of it's own. Next you copy and paste the coded message into the body of a email and send it to a person that has Morse Email.

That person then copies the coded message in their email and then paste's it into the text box of the Morse Email program screen. Press play to listen to the CW that was sent to you. You can adjust the playback speed to what's best for you.

Here's the link and have fun.

KWW, you scared me for a minute! I thought that
Mount St. Helens had started sending Morse smoke
signals!
Yeah, yeah, I know that someday you will have me on
a marble slab and dress me funny and take pictures and
post them here on QRZ! But until then... http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

4Fr under you have puter, but, this program is designed to help us no code folks learn code. Since some of don't have HF gear and don't have a need for it cause we don't have hf access. But, this is the next best thing. So, give it a try and let the cw fly over the internet like jet.

kww,

There is a freebee program called "Morse Cat" on the internet. With Morse Cat, I can send you an email and you can cut and paste to Morse Cat's text box and it will send to you at whatever speed you choose. You can also use "notepad" in windows to create text files and Morse Cat will open the file and send the contents.

If you need any sample QSOs in text to load into your practice program let me know and I will make a dozen or so up and send them to you in the format of the FCC test. I can send you suggested letter groupings to help learn the code easier if you're interested.

And, Greg, keep an open mind toward the code. #If you approach learning it while calling it "garbage," you will never learn it. #Attitude is the key. #Relax and concentrate and you will learn it.

That is the T&O forum at QRZ, what does any post have to do with the original one? http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

There is nothing wrong with it. #However, not everyone is
able to easily pick up on code. #I say use whatever you can
to learn it and pass the test. #I give Greg a lot of credit for
sticking with it no matter if he uses code after passing the
test or not. #He is working toward his goal and I think
supporting him and helping him is what is needed in this case,
and I wish him much success with his efforts.
