I'm having a hard time deciphering the poll choices. I thought all that was needed was Bush and Kerry. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I voted no since neither candidate said anything new or different. How could there be a winner when they both repeat the same rhetoric and prepared lines each time? Clearly, there was no winner; in fact, we the American people are the losers because these two jackasses are the best we can come up with.

The President did much better this time. I liked it when he said that Ted Kennedy seem like a conservative compaired to Kerry (or words to that effect). Kerry's true colors came out when he basicly said that he was going to reverse all the tax cuts that we have received. He is going to tax the rich and along with that he his going to tax all small businesses. His plan will not help the middle class because it will put people out of work and tax them to death. It those rich people who provide jobs for the rest of us. This is what Kerry meant when he said that he would "pay as we go". I will give Kerry credit for being a good debater and I notice that he is keeping up his Botox treatments.
Did the debate change the minds of the undecided? I don't know. We will have to wait see after we cast our ballots next month.
Post to be filed under the heading: "For What it's Worth" or in the circular file.

Kerry won the first debate (on style only, not substance).
Bush beat Kerry in the second debate.
Bush (in the words of Bill Krystal) "slaughtered" Kerry in the third debate.

YCO, Sir, May I correct you? There is one Jackass and
one Elephant in this presidential race! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
As far as are they the best we can come up with?
I submit for your consideration that the very best this
country has to offer for any job in today's public service
sector is enjoying anonymity and BIG $$$ in the private
sector. In all honesty, what sane person would willingly
put themselves and their family into the abuse, scorn and
ridicule found in a political campaign?
Only in rare instances have we had someone who is the best for the job in any office of significance.

All of what I have said is true even in local politics,
which *ALL* politics is *LOCAL*!

Oh, make no mistake, they are both jackasses in sheep's clothing. Just my perhaps not so humble opinion.

I agree, but that doesn't seem like a good thing at all. Sad but true perhaps, but not good.

Bush won the opening and the end. Kerry kicked butt in the middle. I score it a draw. Kerry probably needed a better performance, and Bush actually looked human in this one, so he probably came out the big winner.
Sadly, factcheck.com disputed a lot of both their answers. Kerry was wrong about Bush not meeting with the black congressional caucus, and Bush's interpretation of Kerry's health plan was way out in extreme right field, and only 13.7% of the tax cut money went to the bottom 60% of wage earners. Kerry was also wrong on the Pell Grants, though Bush has not come through with the big increase he promised 4 years ago. Bush did, in fact, say he wasn't concerned about Osama anymore, which he hotly denied.
I knew President Bush won when Dan Rather called it a draw.
