Heres a good one. Ordered a MFJ-994 Auto Tuner from Gigaparts. Opened the Box that was shipped and insde the Box that had been packaged by MFJ, was not an MFJ-994 but a MFJ-991. Only about 450 watts different along with several hundred dollars cost. Now we will see how fast Gigaparts will fix this one. Have no doubt that they will be prompt once I get some one on the phone since tehy have always taken care of any problems I have had with orders.
Never saw this this type of probelm before...
Never seen this problem in the ham radio world, but I once bought a Commodore 1200 baud modem, opened the box and found a 300 baud modem. Took it back to the store where I bought it (Toy's R US), showed them what happened, they did some kind of product search, finally said it was impossible, gave me the 300 baud modem back and said "tough".
I have never been in a Toys r us again... that was 1982 or so.

Placed my first order with Gigaparts about 2 weeks ago... for some coax and a Kenwood MC-60a microphone. The microphone is backordered, should be in in another week or so (everyone is out of stock).
We'll see. They were real fast with email telling me that they'd hold the order until the mic arrived and I'm not in a huge rush for the coax, so it works.
Big disappointment this week is none other than the ARRL. Ordered the 1980 QST CD's. Not only do they charge $6 per set shipping, but a week plus later, they ain't here yet!

Found the same thing with the ARRL. When I have ordered some of there books, it seems to take a long time for them to ship.
I do not believe I will have a problem with Gigaparts, They have always taken care of (and very quickly) any problems I have had with past orders.

ARRL shipping may take a while, but when I called them and asked them to use something other than UPS (who won't leave a package for me if I am not home), they were very helpful.
So there's some positives and some negatives.

I hate to admit it, but I've been on a TV shoppjng binge lately. #I bought one those Innovage LCD touchphones and a Glass Wizard window/windshield cleaner set.
That phone is the coolest thing I've ever spent $20+s/h on! #Even the hands free has handset quality. #I bought it because I had to reach too far to use the old desk phone, and the angle was wrong for my musculature to dial easily. #The LCD sets up at an optimal angle so I just dial by reaching next to my monitor. #It's great for when I'm trying to discuss something on the phone while researching on the net. #And--the hold music is so absolutely cheap, annoying, and loud, I only use it when telephone solicitors call.

Was right about Gigaparts. They are emailing a pre-printed shipping label to send the wrong unit back and are shipping a new one. No hassle (except with MFJ)..... That why I like Gigaparts....
