Nice article, and i'm glad to hear that your local stations mentioned him on the news. #The HWN and SATERN really do a fine job, and they have been exceptionally busy during this hurricane season.

Thanks for the link.

What the heck is a ".wvx" file? I don't have anything that can play those...

Opened right up in Media Player for me.
But then, I have every codec on the planet installed on this system ;)

Yes it is...i liked the way the cameraman kept doing close-ups on the face of that Icom, also #Pretty well done piece.

GYQ, a .wvx file is a "Windows Media Redirect" file. #Just a small text file that redirects windows media player to a streaming audio or video file. #I suspect it is used here as a way to keep the average person from downloading and saving the station's copyrighted property. #You should be able to view it with any player that will play .wma files, but you will have to be online. You can't just save the .wvx file to your hard drive and then view the video off-line.

I have a bunch of veneer laminate left over from a library project, I'm really thinking of doing myself a desk similar to that and staining it with a Colonial Maple.

OUTSTANDING! That's a wonderful look at a ham in his station providing a public service. And as best I can tell, he didn't seem to think he was so important. Just a good ham doing a good job.

That was a good story. Now everyone is going to go out and get a 756pro. Wish I could save that video clip.
