This gentleman purchased an item from me. He was unhappy with the shipping cost. Mostly because the cost of the item was not much more that shipping. I gave him the weight of the item to go check the shipping cost for himself. He said he would only pay half. He threatened to file with square trade and other agencies. Be careful when dealing with this person.

I bot something from Ebay at 50¢ but it cost $5 to ship. Both were reasonable. If a person will ship at cost (I do not pay mark up on ship) then the person did not have anything to complain about. Best rid of him.

People that don't do much shipping don't realize how much it costs these days. I am pretty shocked myself at the cost, but if you wanna ship, ya gots to pay the price.:p

Nitwits like your buyer annoy me to no end.
First off: When purchasing something, ask what the final price is. If shipping is extra, ask. Otherwise, don't whine.
Secondly: Negotiate if you feel the price is a bit high for shipping.
I always include shipping in the listing price or at least state what to provide for shipping. I have to go buy two boxes, one for shipping and one for packing, packing peanuts and bubblewrap. All that costs around 15-20$ alone, not counting the actual shipping cost/insurance.
Some of these crybabies need to go pack something up, ship it and find out how much they have to knock off their listing price and see what is left for "profit". It ain't cheap folks!

Shipping costs should be considered part of the total purchase price of any item, and should be considered before an agreement to purchase is made.
Ebay sellers in too many cases have found that inflated shipping is the way to make money. I ask for shipping policies ahead of time if I have doubts. I generally prefer to deal with sellers who have the little shipping cost calculator attached to the auction.
What I avoid is those who list exhobitant shipping costs. When I look at an auction for a portable radio and see the shipping listed as "$20," I move on. The only exception to that would be if I see the sale price looking very low. Again, shipping is to be considered part of the final purchase price.
Caveat emptor.
When creating a for sell page you are asked what size the package is, if its borderline between regular and large and large and extra large then it has to come from someones pocket book. The seller or the buyer period.
I totally agree that all handling costs should be upfront to the buyer. And Yes some people make thier extra money off of S&H. I don't bid or even bother with these people. If thier going to do that then what is the quality of thier merchandise? Lessons learned.
