Your list of mods should include this: (Other web sites are woefully incomplete on this.)
TS950S Digital; General Coverage Transmit.
1. Remove top and bottom covers.
2. Loosen front panel and tilt it forward to horizontal position.
3. The large digital board (behind panel, not on it) will be facing you with Diode D-
17 Clearly marked. Clip the lead half way from diode to board. This will allow
re-connection later, if necessary.
4. Re-assemble unit, being careful not to bind any wires.
