Remove bottom cover on the radio, face radio up so you
can see behind the display into the main chassis. Look
for 2 chip resisters that are 0 ohm, one is located
center of radio faceplate to the bottom of the board
where the two boards meet, it will have an open spot
next to it. The fourth one is the one you want, lift
it carefully. I found another 0 ohms resister on the
other side of the chip and removed that as well. My 2
HTX-252s both transmit from 136-174 and I didn’t lose
my memories either.
