I didn't know Chuck personally, but he posted to a lot of the same geeky mailing lists I subscribe to. In fact I didn't even realize he was a ham until today. He struck me as an extremely bright and funny person, and I was quite sad to hear of his passing. His humor is probably best reflected in his chosen phonetics, Klingon Gopher Six Velvet Pantsuit Ocelot.
