In July I agreed to xchange a Yaesu +$$ for an Icom HF rig with VE7CQE, Charles "Chase" Parent-Quinn, 10288 River Rd, Delta, B.C., Canada. #I sent my radio & $$ (which he received) and VE7CQE said he shipped his radio by Canada Post & gave me a (wrong) tracking number. #23 days later, no radio, no answer to emails or phone calls. #ANYBODY out there have any info on this Canadian Ham? #Any ideas how to get my radio & $$ back? #Any help will be appreciated. #

You could always contact his local club:

Surrey Amateur Radio Club (http://www3.telus.net/ve7sar/)

I am sure somebody there can assist you.

Good Luck to you!

Not much help, but I once ordered a part from a company in BC Canada and it took about 3 months to get it .
The company shipped it when they said they did [post mark on pkg]. I guess they have a worse system than ours and that was before all the security.
Call the guy on the phone and talk with him I bet its the same problem.
Good luck.

The one experience I've had with Canada's parcel post system required a bit over a month for a small package to come from Vancouver to Dallas (TX). Canada Post did not recognize it's own tracking number & I was told by them and USPS that any communication between the two in this regard was pretty much non-existent. Given the nature of the referral I was had regarding the seller (good) I just waited it out. It was shortly after 9/11 & was chalked up to the added security.

Best of luck -
