View Full Version : QRZ System Updates

We installed a bunch of updates last night to the QRZ system. It's now 2:45 AM and I need some sleep. As you can see, we have an updated version of our message board. There are also a lot of things you can't see that will ultimately make the system easier to use and more reliable.
One thing that many of you will be concerned with is the font size of the message board. Please don't worry, I'll get it fixed tomorrow after I've had a chance to get some sleep. These letters are too small for my eyes as well!
If something isn't working properly, don't panic. Just let me know by using the PM messenger. I appreciate it.
Thanks to all for your patience while I continue to work to improve the system.

Many thanks for the update, Fred! Hopefully this one will stay up more reliably. (Not blaming you, rather the folks that wrote the software.) http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Question Fred:
Are you going to put in font size I can adjust in my control panel like the way it was before? That would be great.
I have a real small monitor, and where it is, I can't be very close to it without not being comfortable.
Thanks.
I asked here instead of sending you a PM because you are probable already bombarded with them.
Question 2. Is that light bulb when it's yellow indicate that someone is present on that thread, or on QRZ anywhere?

And I forgot.
Am I going to be able to put this back in under my call sign? #

A suggestion to all who have a problem with the fonts being entirely too small.
There a browsers such as OPERA (freeware) which allow you to
scale/ increase the size of the page by more than 1000%.
I personally have mine set at 120%.
OPERA (www.opera.com ) is also a much more secure brower than the Internet Explorer.
My best 73
Michael
PS: I like the new look. Excellent work - fine business ! http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Its a self install and update system, you just upload it to your server and set the updat onits way. The members make it. No big deal setting it up.

FYI, since the latest update, callsign lookups from a DX Spider cluster node no longer work. :-(
