Just to start something positive, what kind of TV does everyone watch? Sitcoms, Comedy's, Gameshows, etc. Everyone post now! Let's see how many we can roll in here!

Since I don't have cable or satellite to get Discovery and History channels or Braves baseball, I primarily watch ETV. There are a few exceptions - good drama, but these are severely limited due to the idiotic commercials the 20-something geniuses are producing these days . . .

Depends, what day of the week?

Junkyard Wars (used to be on TLC, now on The Science Channel) is a lot of fun... since my step-dad was a police dispatcher he got me hooked on Cops, I also like a lot of stuff that the History Channel does, especially Mail Call. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Braves Baseball, old movies especially westerns, sci-fi and horror. Crime dramas-NYPD Blue is my favorite followed by the CSI series. Alias is also a personal favorite. Some reality like Survivor and Amazing Race. Used to watch x-files, Buffy, and Angel but all are reruns now. Still watch Charmed. And of course Fox News.

Don’t have satellite TV. I do get NBC, ABC, CBS, and sometimes FOX but I rarely watch anything. I don’t care for daytime dramas, ‘springer’ type shows Dr fill just bugs the crap out of me. I do usually watch Stargate SG1. The local NBC station has it at 10:30 pm on Saturday nights.
I do occasionally rent or buy a movie to watch. I really like ‘The tenth kingdom’ and ‘Knights tail’ of course I have mostly senseless violence & sex movies galore. Most of the 007 series on VHS and a few now on DVD. I like to try and work HF or 2M ssb instead of killing time looking at the boob tube.

My commute time wipes out just about all my "prime-time" viewing, but I try to get in at least part of "Jeopardy" when I can. #Hey, isn't that current champion something else, though! #I wonder if he will ever get beat, or if he will just "retire", undefeated, some day?

I love the "History Channel" in general, and "Discovery Wings", although it gets to be a bit repetitious. #"Gunny" is a real hoot on "MailCall" ! You could almost take him seriously, but there is that little glint in his eyes!

"Nova" on PBS is quite good, although it has been better in the past. #I wish they would bring back something as arresting as "Cosmos" with the late Carl Sagen.

There is nothing on Television that captures my attention like the old movies of the late 30s and early 40s . #"The Movie Channel" and the like are great, but that small screen diminishes the impact so very much! #I'm not ready to mortgage my house to purchase a screen that would give me the impact of a theater! #

Still, when the choice has to be made between ham radio, my phonograph record to CD project, or watching television, I usually choose to watch television only when I am the most run down! # Life is too short to be a "couch potato" ( notice, no 'e' at the end ! )

I listen to talk radio, amateur radio, and music radio more than anything; but, when I do watch TV:
The Simpsons, King Of The Hill, South Park, Seinfeld, That 70's Show, Star Trek (pick one, I'm a good little nerd for Star Trek), The Late Show with David Letterman (Jay Leno is a wuss), The Howard Stern show on E!, and that's probably about it. Sometimes the political shows on sunday mornings, if I'm in the mood for being annoyed with partisan politics on a sunday morning.
I don't bother with network or local news since most of it's fluff pieces or biased crap; and really, I don't watch that much TV in the first place, especially in the summer.
When I get the chance for some quality comedy I'll watch it, otherwise I'll stick to Radio Netherlands or BBC for news.
And of course, I listen to the god of all radio gods, the originator of the wrongly dubbed 'shock radio' that so many others take credit for Steve Dahl ! (http://www.dahl.com)Disco Demolition ! ! (http://www.discodemolition.com)

Fox News Channel, CNN, some History and Discovery channel, Storm Stories. Totally hate so-called "reality" shows. Not into watching other people get rich either, so don't do game shows. Hate the daytime 'doctor' shows - Doctor Phil, Doctor Montel, Doctor Maurey, Doctor Rickie, Doctor Jenny - all of them pretending to solve problems. At least Springer is a joke, while these others pretend to be real and serious. But I rarely watch more than two minutes of Springer. I'm sure he has just about scraped the bottom of the idiot barrel and will run out of critters to put on the show.

Not into Oprah, either. Bored completely with the morning shows - Today, GMA, etc. Too much of them are dedicated to figuring out what wedding dress to wear or how to cover your liposuction scars.

Like an occasional sitcom - According to Jim is ok. But hate the ones that are just constant racket, like Ray Romano's show.

Good drama. Road To Perdition is a fine example. The Sopranos. Deadwood. (Now gone, I guess.) The Shield. Did like CBS's The Agency. CSI Miami. (Mostly because David Caruso is one of my favorite actors.)

Like good acting, better direction, and great production in movies.

Baseball, football, golf. Shows on astronomy and the universe. Not interested in ghosts, UFOs, urban legends, religion or other supernatural shows. (Even got bored with X Files!)

Like commentary: O'Reily, Hannity & Colms, Paula Zahn, Linda Vester, Greta Van Sustern, Larry King at times (he had Martha Stewart on a few days ago. Excellent show) Lou Dobbs, Chris Matthews on MSNBC.

No daytime soap operas, though I do occasionally watch a couple of Spanish language ones. For real relaxation, I'll watch a true cartoon.

Most of the HBO series shows are pretty good. Sopranos, Larry David, most all -- I even enjoyed Sex & the City and will miss it, because the XYL and I would watch it together...and there aren't that many things we can watch together!

I watch Jeopardy when I can (it's on too early here, at 7pm local time...and I can watch it in other time zones via satellite, but usually those are even earlier here on the west coast), and try to catch CSI, Law & Order, Cold Case -- stuff like that, at least once a week or so.

If we have any serious couch time in front of the tube, it's usually watching movies on DVD, especially since joining Netflix. We receive about ten movies a week, and somehow get to watch most of them!

What do you guys think of Howard Stern?

I can watch about 5-6 minutes and then I can't bear to watch another minute (regardless of the guest).

The guy is such a creep, how in the world did he get on the air in the first place?http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

I watch The O’Reilly Factor on Fox, Curb of Enthusiasm, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, and Carnavale on HBO. West Wing on NBC. I also listen to John and Ken on KFI talkradio in Los Angeles – they are my heroes.

I don't catch a lot of TV, but like O'Reilly, and some of the commentary. Also the History Channel sometimes. South Park is a hoot, but I only see that one when the wife and kids are gone. The XYL HATES it. The only drama that I watch every week faithfully is The West Wing. I'm a school teacher and in my district Wednesday Night is family night, no school activities, so I tune in then; plus I'm interested in political science and governement.
I like movies too, but usually wait for them to come out on video. Right now, I'm watching Miracle for the first time. Pretty good movie. As a kid, that team, and those guys were definitely my heros.

I try never to miss Jeopardy, esp with the new whiz kid Jennings running amok through their answerboard. CSI -the original, the Miami version I don't care for at all. The NYC version shows promise.

As for the rest of the list, about any baseball game being shown as long as the White Sox broadcast team isn't doing the game; Nascar races; college basket ball when in season; Without A Trace is a great show also. Mail Call with Gunny is also a good show as is Myth Busters on Discovery. Various shows on Discovery and the History Channel. Also the Star Gate shows on the SciFi Channel is a fun watch also. Also any John Wayne western movie I can find floating around on the various cable channels. For some reason I am also hooked on the Becker reruns. Ol' Becker is my kinda guy. I watch some college football in season and most NFL games. And any Bogart movie where he isn't doing a comic role. Watching Bogie doing comedy is almost painful.

why do folks HAVE to get 1 1/2 or 2 kc down from my fav 75 meter frequency to chatter early on a saturday morning ? cant they go somewhere else or at least get ON frequency ?

Monk.
Monk was wearing a hidden mike on his tie last night and spilled some food on it. He kept trying to wipe off the spot and was hosing the 3 guys monitoring with a great scratching noise over and over and over.
Great show.
